Venue and Timings
This will be an all-day event on Saturday 6th July. The venue is Tunnel Barn Farm Fishery (CV35 7AN), a short drive from the University Campus. Competitors are expected to make their own travel arrangements due to the transportation of equipment. Reasonable expenses can be claimed under the normal HASSRA Travel and Subsistence rules.
Event Format and Rules
This is a National Championship event.
Each region will be invited to select a maximum of three competitors to take part.
The event will comprise two elements: An Individual Championship and a Team Championship, with the catches of all regional competitors counting towards an overall regional total.
The draw for pegs will be made on the evening before the competition.
Further competition rules and the rules of the fishery will be made available to all competitors prior to the event.
Kit and Equipment
Suitable footwear and clothing should be worn. Competitors will need to provide their own equipment, including bait.
Lunch will be provided and refreshments will be available to purchase.
Consideration will be given to those transporting expensive equipment when allocating accommodation and parking.
Although some prior experience is recommended, it is not essential in order to take part in this event.
