Venue and Timings
This will be an all-day event on Saturday 6th July. It will take place at the Sports and Wellness Hub, a short walk from the HASSRA reception.
Event Format and Rules
This is a National Championship event.
Each region will be invited to enter one team, consisting of seven people (five players, two subs)
Matches will take place on either a grass or 4G pitch – to be confirmed in due course. This will determine the type of footwear required.
Regions will be organised into two groups and matches played on a round-robin basis; the number of teams in each group will depend on number of entries. If less than six teams enter, the competition will still be on a round-robin basis, with all regions playing each other. Games will be at least seven minutes each way, with a one minute break at half time.
Kit and Equipment
Competitors will be provided with their regional football kit, including goalkeeper kit as appropriate. Competitors need to provide their own shin pads and will not be allowed on the field of play without them. The pitches are outside on grass and studs are therefore recommended. Games will be played under FA rules and refereed by FA officials.
There are changing facilities, including showers and lockers. There is also a suitable area for spectators. Lunch will be provided and refreshments will be available to purchase.
A full set of rules and playing schedule will be issued to all competitors prior to the event.
